Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport is the world's busiest, with nearly 90 million passengers annually. The airport has direct flights to most larger U.S. cities and to Europe, South America, and Asia. In 2012, the airport opened a new International Terminal. For conference attendees leaving to return home, make sure to go to and check in at the new international terminal if your eventual destination is not in the U.S.

The Marriott Marquis Hotel is located just 12 miles north of Atlanta's airport. Valet parking is $32.00 daily at the hotel and nearby offsite parking lots are roughly $4.00 hourly or $20.00 daily. In general, we recommend using the Atlanta subway or taxi or shuttle service to reach the hotel.

Atlanta's airport is the end-stop of Atlanta's MARTA subway system's red and yellow lines which connect it with downtown. To reach the hotel, attendees should take either the red or yellow northbound lines and exit at the Peachtree Center stop. The hotel is then a short 2-block walk (north and east) from the subway station. Alternately, there is a pedestrian tunnel that connects the Peachtree Center station to the hotel lobby. Please note that the subway station at the airport is next to the domestic terminal, so passengers arriving at the new international terminal must take a short tram ride over to the subway station.

Taxi service from Atlanta's airport to the Marriott Marquis takes takes about 20 minutes (depending on traffic) and is approximately $30, not including gratuity. Taxis at the domestic terminal can be found at the ground transportation center, located at the west end of the building, and for the international terminal, just outside the arrival area. Attendees should be aware that at rush hour the ride may take significantly longer due to traffic congestion on the main highways connecting downtown to the airport.

Our hotel does not provide shuttle service to the airport. Private shuttle service operating between the airport and downtown is available, however. It is provided by Atlanta Airport Shuttle. We recommend making a reservation. The shuttle pick-up is located at the Ground Transportation Center, located at the west end of the domestic terminals building.

All the major rental car companies have offices in Atlanta's airport. The rental car center is located near the domestic terminal. You can pick up a car there.

From the airport and points south: Travel north on Interstate 75/85 to exit 248C for Andrew Young International Boulevard. Turn left onto the boulevard then right onto Peachtree Center Avenue. The hotel is two blocks on the right.

From points north: Travel south on Interstate 75/85, take exit 249A for Courtland Street. Proceed to the third traffic light and turn right onto Andrew Young International Boulevard. Continue one block to Peachtree Center Avenue and turn right. The hotel is two blocks on the right.
